| These Egyptian dispatches were written during two separate trips. The missive from Aswan reported my first impressions of this country, mere months after quitting a fifteen year career in the wine business, and was my first taste of unstructured living over a three month period of time. The other four were written two years later during a six-month trip as I traveled with my computer and a little more experience under my belt. They are all, unfortunately, sound-byte condensations of very rich times, but they do offer a flavor of the place. I hope you enjoy them. |
